Turnbuckle forks are made of cadmium plated steel and conform to Procurement Spec. MIL-T-5685. Forks are available in both short and long versions, as well as with left and right threads.
The “R” or “L” (first letter after dash number) denotes the forks thread direction, the “L” or “S” (second letter after the dash number) denotes the length of the fork.
