Dehydrator plugs are used to prevent rust and corrosion in engines while in storage. These plugs contain silica gel which turns from blue to pink when moisture is absorbed. The reusable gel may be reactivated (after removing from reservoir) by heating the gel crystals. Once the crystals turn blue they can be replaced into the plastic container.
