Pinked edge – bias cut (45 degrees to edge). Especially useful for trimming compound components such as round wing tips and tail surfaces. Bias tape will stretch to conform to the required contour without the usual wrinkles. Stretching reduces the width, and 3″ should be used to finish areas normally covered with standard 2″. Bias tapes are spliced with a sewn seam at 50″ intervals.
