37° FLARED FITTING SEAL A soft malleable crush washer designed for MS, AN, and JIC standard 37° flared fitting assemblies. The seals purpose is to provide a lower yield gasket material to the interface periphery at time of torque-up. Designed to take-up for the minute imperfections that will occur to the fitting and tubes mating surfaces during manufacture and installation process. Seal reduces stress in the individual parts of the flared fitting assembly and prevents dishing or crushing of the fitting. Also allows installer to reuse original equipment repeatedly reducing the cost of replacement parts. Aluminum seal used with aluminum tubing and fitting material assembly temperature ranges -420°F to +275°F and can seal helium, hydraulic oil & peroxide, hydrazine, liquid hydrogen & nitrogen, nitric acid, oxygen, pneumatics, water. Copper seal used with steel tubing and fitting material assembly temperature ranges -420° to +800°F and seals helium, hydraulic oil (non-sulfur base), hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen and pneumatics.
