The A23 family of Icom VHF transceivers offers many desirable features, all in a compact, palm sized water-resistant case. A well-designed backlit keypad allows use even with gloves on, while its large LCD read-out is easy to read. Features include voice recording & playback, 200 memory channels w/6 character names, one-touch emergency channel access, NOAA weather channel, Auto Noise Limiter and built-in sidetone function for headset adapter. The A23 & A23 Sport models include a VOR nav function which indicates the bearing to/from the VOR station, a Course Deviation Indicator and an Auto Bearing Set System. The A23 includes a rechargeable 760 mAh Ni-Cd battery pack and charger, headset adapter and carrying case. Receives & transmits on 118.000-136.975 MHz frequencies. Output: transmitter 5 W; Audio >500 mW. Size: 2-9/32"W x 4-7/32"H x 1-1/8"D. Wt: 12 oz.
