Hi to all at Wicks Aircraft.
My 75% scale Cub is now complete and ready for flight testing. This aircraft is a legal UL making weight with several pounds to spare. The cockpit area is actually larger than a full size Cub, but most of the aircraft is near 75% scale. The cowl is complete but is off for initial engine testing.
This note is to say thanks for your support and having the materials when I needed them. Most of what you see is from your store, including: Polyfiber covering, wheels, tires, aluminum structure, aluminum panels. I made several trips from Peoria/Washington to your store to pick up materials and always found your staff to be friendly and ready for my visit. Your packaging of my order was always well done. And phone orders were always promptly filled and shipped.
I recall building my first aircraft in 1975 and the difficulties in finding materials. Your catalog and good service just removed all that burden and let me concentrate on building. btw, that aircraft had spruce spars from you, when that was all that you were selling.
Again, thanks for your good efforts in supplying materials. It is truly appreciated.
