Scott it was nice meeting you today at the store. Yes, I've bought all the moly tubing to rebuild/update my race car from WICKS. A couple of friends of mine who have built front engine dragsters also have purchased the tubing from you folks. Like I said today, you are near enough to us and you are also are open on Saturday mornings for us to come down. When you get your decals, send me a couple. I'll be happy to put them on the car.
I've attached a photo of my car taken at Indianapolis this past season. I only race at Nostalgia Events. There are annual races at tracks in Havana & Cordova IL, Indianapolis and Bowling Green, KY that give me enough through the year. Usually when it gets too hot I stay home. Not as young as I used to be. My car is a 1923 Ford T-bucket alterd from the 70's, 102" wheel base w/all moly tubing, 364 cu.in. carburated Ford engine on racing gas with a two speed transmission. I basically had to re-build the chassis to meet the newer safety spec's. Best it's ran has been in the 1/4 mile was a 9.81 e.t.@ 134 mph. 1/8th mile has been a 6.18 e.t. @ 109 mph. I've had the car 7 years now and it's been alot of expensive fun. Should you need any additional photo's, just let me know. Nice meeting you and maybe we'll see you again. Thanks,
Charlie "Bucketracer" Boyd
